Bring a Friend Friday is the Perfect Way to Try CrossFit in Cairns

If you do CrossFit, you know the first rule of CrossFit is: Tell everyone about CrossFit! And if you have a friend who does CrossFit, you definitely know the first rule of CrossFit. It is good to keep in mind though, that no one is paying anyone for those resounding endorsements. It comes from the very real conviction that CrossFitters have found the elixir of health and wellbeing and of course they want to share it with people they care about.


Sharing their love of CrossFit is something members do all the time. Our Kantok friends can always book a ‘No Sweat Intro’ and a coach will talk to them about their goals and help them develop a plan to achieve those goals.

Once a quarter, Kantok puts on a different opportunity called, ‘Bring a Friend Friday’. Our next one is on the 2nd of February.  This is a chance for non-members to book in and try a CrossFit class with a friend. ‘Bring a Friend Friday’ goes far beyond being a way to attract new members. Current members love BAFF because this is a chance to finally show the people they care about that all their endless CrossFit talk is for real.

This is also part of the CrossFit philosophy. CrossFitters don’t want to keep what they know a secret. When you have found a place that changes your physical and mental health so profoundly, it is natural to want to share it. We love our friends and families, and we want what’s best for them. Lecturing people very rarely yields results though, showing them is just so much better. Bring a Friend Friday workouts give friends a chance to try this amazing sport. Coaches are on hand to keep everyone safe and give everyone a chance to have a great experience.

There are plenty of ways to find out about CrossFit. There are blogs, YouTube clips and newsletters that all show what to expect when you go to a CrossFit class. However, one of the greatest aspects of CrossFit is community, and there is no better way to experience what it is like to sweat, suffer and laugh alongside a friend while you work out than coming along to ‘Bring a Friend Friday.’

At the end of the day, willpower can fade, and goals can change, but it is our friends and community that often keep us focussed and keep us coming back to our health and wellbeing. Many of our most successful members attribute their success to the CrossFit community and many of those members started from ‘Bring a Friend Friday’.
